Giving food to the extremely poor village Quiakisuyal, in Huehuetenango, Guatemala, for Christmas Families live in one-room shacks built with sticks and debris; with dirt floors, and roofs made of scraps of corrugated metal. Their food: scarce quantity of tortillas; sometimes beans and rice. No potable water or electricity, no jobs. Poor access to education and health services. Our goal: to send them a basket of food for Christmas. Thanks for your generous donations. On December 20th, 91 families of Quiakisuyal received food and had a big smile on their faces. Thanks to memebers of the church Palabra en Acción in Huehuetenango who helped in the distribution of the food. |
